Volunteers
As a Just-Us Girls volunteer you have the potential to help a vulnerable young female and their children if applicable exercise her rights and help her voice be heard.
All volunteers receive training and education in a number of skills to empower vulnerable populations, including:
- Child, Youth, and Family Enhancement Act
- Youth Criminal Justice Act
- Instructed View Point Advocacy
- Sharing Circle Process
Volunteers must have an open mind and respect that this process is meant to provide young woman with a platform to voice their own opinions and decisions. Just-Us Girls never determines the ultimate outcome for the young woman's family. Our focus is on breaking down communication barriers with authorities, helping young women understand their options, and providing valuable education and resources.
